Margaret's first client.

Just a short one for today.
*********************************************************************************

"Good morning, Angel! That smells lovely, you are really spoiling me." Pete plants a kiss on Margaret's cheek. "Of course, you work hard, so you need all the energy you can get, to get through your day." Margaret replied. She was also really enjoying her new home, and to cook for her family in her own kitchen.

While Margaret got everything ready, Pete played with Halley. She was really a sweet girl, but didn't like sleeping very much and were usually up at the crack of dawn, though she never made a noise, as if she knew her parents want to sleep some more.

Just as Margaret was about to call Pete for breakfast, there came a knock to the door. "Heavens it is only 7:30, who can that be?" Margaret wondered. "Let me get it." Pete was as puzzled as Margaret.

Pete was astonished to find Daisy at the door. "Daisy, good morning, is everything alright? Come in."

"Morning, sorry to bother you this early, but I thought to stop by on my way back from school. This thing has been bothering me and I wouldn't be able to continue my day, if I don't apologise now." Daisy rambled quickly. "Oh no, what is it, Daisy?" Pete asked. "I want to apologise for my behaviour towards you, regarding my parcel, that was unnecessary of me to react that way. I was wrong, Pete, I'm so sorry." Daisy looked Pete square in the eyes. Pete blushed, "Oh Daisy, don't be silly, you don't need to apologise, you were frustrated, and I understand that." Pete comforted.

Daisy didn't stay much longer after her quick visit, she could see they were about to eat. "What was that all about?" Margaret asked just as Daisy left. "It was about a parcel that she has been waiting for, and she was frustrated that it took so long. Kelly found it in the back of the bus, it must have fallen out, and no one is sure, how long it has been sitting under the seat, but we thought it better not to tell Daisy. At least everything is sorted out, and, yes she had a reason to be upset." Pete explained.

With Halley still sitting happily in her swing, Pete and Margaret finally enjoyed breakfast together. "So, you have your first client today in our new home?" Pete asked. "Yes, and I'm very nervous. What if they don't like the setup and find it unprofessional that I see clients in our bedroom?" Margaret wondered, "I think they will understand, and it is only temporary so don't worry too much, just dazzle her with your smile and you good work." Pete reassured.

After breakfast Pete got his postbag and hat, and greeted his women. "Remember you banana, Pete. You will need it later," Margaret held out a banana as Pete kissed her goodbye. Pete thanked her and he was off.

Margaret look at her watch and thought, 'An hour before Isabel arrives, that will be more than enough time to quickly clean the kitchen, feed Halley and get my beautician table ready.' She turned to Halley, "Oh sweet girl, you are such and angel." and she planted a kiss on Halley's head, and Halley in turn squealed with delight.

In the bedroom Margaret put a clean cover on their bed, and then set out everything for Isabel's facial. Then she put on her Beautician's jacket. She was starting to feel very excited, about her first client in her new home. Margaret just loved her job.

Just as she started wondering, when Isabel will arrive, there was a knock at the front door. "That must be Isabel, come Halley, and remember to be a good girl for mommy." Margaret beamed.

Margaret was surprised and a bit overwhelmed to find Isabel, Grizabella and the twins at the front door when she opened it. "Oh, hi, good morning Isabel, come in." Margaret invited. "Oh what a lovely and fantastically cosy home you have here, Margaret." Isabel exclaimed. "You must feel so happy and content to have your own home?" Margaret turned scarlet, "Thank you Isabel, yes I am very happy, I just hope you don't mind being treated in our bedroom." Isabel smiled, "That will be no problem at all. As long as you don't mind that I brought the twins along, they were very not well this morning, but Grizzie here, will look after them."

While Isabel got ready for her treatment, Margaret helped Grizabella to get settled with the babies. "Will you be alright, Halley shouldn't be any trouble, she usually isn't?" Margaret asked. "I will be fine Mrs Petite, I love babies, don't worry." Grizzabella reassured Margaret.

Margaret could finally turn her attention to Isabel. She started off by cleaning Isabel's face gently.

Then she applied the very luxurious snail gel to Isabel's face.

Isabel had to relax and keep it on her face for an hour. Margaret used this time to massage Isabel's hands, feet and gave her a pedi- and manicure.

During the whole treatment, the twins and Halley played happily, with Grizabella entertaining them with stories, songs and rhymes. She was indeed very good with the babies. Margaret made a mental note to remember this for if she and Pete ever needed a babysitter.

Soon the hour was over, Isabel fell asleep and Margaret quietly waked her. While Isabel got dressed, Margaret prepared some herbal tea, infused with jasmine. Grizabella accepted the offer for juice.

After the ladies enjoyed a quiet cup of tea, Isabel thanked Margaret. "That was the most relaxing two hours I had in a very long time, thank you so much Margaret, for the tea as well, I will most definitely recommend you to everyone." Isabel assured. Margaret felt so satisfied and happy with Isabel's remarked and beamed with delight.

Pete came home a bit earlier than usual. He was tired but content. It was a good day, and no mail went missing. He could hear Halley's giggles coming from the bedroom and made his way to them.

"Bath time already? I'm glad I'm in time for that!" Pete kissed Margaret and tickled Halley. She shrieked with delight.

"How was your day and how did it go with your first client?" Pete asked. "Oh Pete, it was so satisfying. Isabel was so happy with her treatment." Margaret told him proudly. Pete gave her a kiss, "That is fantastic news, congratulations Honey!"
