Sylvanian Families Competition - South Africa

Again I had a very busy weekend, and to worsen things we had power outages, better known as loadshedding. I had carefully planned what to do this weekend with regards to my Sylvanians, as my husband and I together with our son are planning on taking two short breaks the following two coming weekends. What I thought would be ample time was made difficult by the power cuts and then when I woke up on Sunday morning, it was overcast. Luckily the sun came out later and I could successfully complete all my tasks.

My main focus was to take the remaining pictures for the photo competition, which Sylvanian Families South Africa is currently hosting. I was really excited when I was told about this by the woman from who I regularly buy. The prizes are amazing ...

1st Prize: City House with Lights (or better known as Beechwood Hall)

2nd Prize: Starter Cottage - 2014 release with new furniture

3rd Prize: Deluxe living room set

Though I wouldn't mind to win either of these, as they are all wonderful, I really really want that 1st Prize

So here are my entries

Picture 1: Aaron Cottontail's workshop

Picture 2: Slydale's night out at the Pizza Parlour

Picture 3: Breakfast with the Buttercups

Picture 4: Visiting friends

Picture 5: Concert at the Forest Nursery

It was a really fun challenge and even if I don't win anything I still loved setting these up and just try to push myself and take better care of details when taking the picture. I don't have a camera of my own and it is just too much trouble to use my husband's so all was taken with ... wait for it ... an I-pad.

Talking of competitions, yesterday was the last day to enter the review competition on the Sylvanian Families forum. I actually thought it was only ending on 30 November, so I've decided to move the closing date on to tomorrow 25 November. I'm really hoping for a few last minute entries. Good luck to those who have entered, I have my favorite, but the winner will be chosen by the forum members, which will make choosing a winner less stressful for me.

Hope you all have a wonderful week...
