The Sugarbush Valley Supermarket

I'm very excited to announce that I finally acquired the Supermarket. This item has been on my wishlist for so long and every year I notice how its price just gets higher and higher, so much so that I thought that I would just never be able to afford it, much like the Country Tree School.

As luck would have it, a local online shop had a HUGE sale, it was 50% less and I just HAD to buy it (you understand that, don't you?)

I want to feature it in my next story, so I thought to do a quick introduction. It has after all been "open" for a while now in the Village.
*********************************************************************************

It was another lovely Autumn morning in Sugarbush Valley and Wilbur Redwood was loving life. Moving to this small village to open a Supermarket turned out to be a life changing decision.

Up untill now they have shared a house with the Darwin family, something that is not uncommon in the Village, but he has just heard the great news, that his plans to built as small cottage-like-flat on top of the Supermarket was approved.

Wilbur and Fliss loved being shopkeepers. To be surrounded by delicious fresh produce and seeing to the needs of their customers were very satisfying.

Fresh fish and seafood where supplied by Ben Henry-Lloyd, and Bob Blackberry delivered fresh fruit and vegetables daily.

Though Sugarbush Valley had its own Bakery, Wilbur negotiated with Bertie Honeybear to also supply the Supermarket with a small quantity of freshly baked bread and other treats daily.

There was also a fridge for chilled groceries. One can find anything from butter, yogurt to juice and even soy milk in it.

A shelf with dried and canned goods, was also well stocked. Next to its was the ice cream fridge, every child in Sugarbush Valley's favorite.

So do pop into the Supermarket if you ever visit Sugarbush Valley.

****************************************************************I hope you liked the introduction. I was pleasantly surprised with the Supermarket. It is well stocked and there really is a wide variety of items that came with it (and it is not pink!). Just a small suggestion, do set aside enough time to fold those boxes and stick on the labels. It really can be time consuming. It also took some planning to find a place for each item. With some of the previous shops I bought, I felt that there was too little stock, but surely not with the Supermarket.

  1. I agree on the accessories, finally something with more than enough stock. They look really lovely with their supermarket and can't wait for them to finish their cottage:) And yes you had to grab it at that sale

  3. Congrats! I love this store, it has fantastic items! The only reason I haven't bought it yet is that I have the vintage village store and that holds back my decision... Can't wait for the story!

  4. Yes, the supermarket has so much stock <3. Absolutely love it. A good chunk of mine live in the shopping trolley as I couldn't find a space for them.

  5. Congrats on your new supermarket!! It's great you found that half price sale! It was also one of the first items in my wish list too and I'm glad I bought even though it was quite expensive. You're right about how long it takes to place stickers and fold boxes but once it's all set up is a lovely shop.I find it a bit small when there are customers but apart from that I love it to bits
What a coincidence!in my village Fliss and Wilbur are also the supermaret owners.I think they're suited for this business.
Looking forward to your coming story!!

    1. I have to agree though on the space more than two customers makes the store a bit overcrowded, luckily SV doesn't have that much villagers!

  7. Congratulations on your store! Love the intro & set up.
I must admit I'm slightly jealous, to get my supermarket at a good price I bought second hand & it didn't have any accessories. So lucky!
    Love your village.

    1. Yes that is always the decision one has to make - cheaper but incomplete or expensive with all the nice goodies included!

  9. Congratulations on getting the supermarket, it looks lovely. :)

I must say that the Redwoods look EXTREMELY photogenic, wow! They seem to glow from inside!
(Could it be the happiness about their new shop that's making them glow?) :)
