So here they are the Red Panda Family, or as they shall be known in my village, the Redwoods.
I just love the back of the box, and this picture is how I see my own village too.
Almost free. Don't they just look perfect? More like porcelain dolls than flocked critters?
Freedom! They are even cuter than I thought. Promotion photos and any other photo I've seen from fellow collectors, just can do them justice, even this one. Read their full bio here at the bottom of the page.
So I went a bit further and took a few comparison photos of the Red Pandas and the Raccoons.
The sister red panda's tail is much shorter (in my opinion) than the raccoon sister, which makes it easier for her to stand. My Raccoons keep falling backwards.
Here is the mothers, Fliss is much shorter than Mae, but keep in mind that the Raccoons are overall a bit "taller" than most figures
I think their tails are the same length though.
And then lastly the cutest of them all. I can't pick a favorite! Can you?

Aw, they're so cute! Congratulations to your pandas! I've thought exactly the same thing: they look like porcelain dolls. Very precious! About the babies: I couldn't pick a favourite too, but I have this problem with all babies :D. I liked the bio very much, especially the part about little Cali.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments, I always appreciate them. This family is really adorable!

ReplyDeletethey are so adorable and great idea with the comparison:) Pumpkin gets me vote but it was a hard call. This is a very pretty family, my girls got it when it was first released and it's been played with allot.
ReplyDeleteThx Sigrun, I love them too. I appreciate the comment!
DeleteI wish you'd make a close up to the cloths and really show the detail
DeleteOh definitely baby Redwood - her face markings are so perfect and adorable :3
ReplyDeleteLove the family!
Thx Aranera. They are really really cute
DeleteI got the Japanese version with flat hands when they were first released in the UK - I don't know why they didn't have open hands - but they are a bit battered now, with some of the red ears turning a lighter colour, though I still think they are adorable!
Deletethat is really interesting!
DeleteYeah - it was in flair blue packaging and all! I can't quite understand it :S
DeleteOoh! congrats on the red pandas, they are lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI think they are even prettier than the Mulberries though, but I do love both families. :-)
I love both too, but I must say I like the smaller sized figures more!
DeleteCongrats on getting the red pandas! I wanted them too but for the same reason as you, I have put off their purchase. I think I might as well buy them from the UK because it does not look like it would ever be released here! Thanks for the comparison photos. I think they do look so much like the Mulberry Raccoons but they are of course quite precious in their own different way.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day we can do a trade? how does that sound? we can post unsigned for then it is little cheaper?
DeleteYou are a sweetheart! I will let you know but for now my budget does not allow more toys for this time! I'll explain on my blog soon. I got myself a new miniature set and it cost me so much but it's really lovely though :)
DeleteDon't worry, I don't have the funds now either, but just let me know when you are ready! Rushing over to you blog to see what is the new item!
DeleteHi Eaton Blackberry, This new red panda family of yours is adorable! Thank you for the comparison photos--it's really interesting! Congratulations on your new additions! xo Jennifer
